Experience
I worked in the Science Resource Center as a tutor for my peers while I was working toward my associate degree in chemistry at the County College of Morris. My excellent grades in both biology and chemistry made me an excellent candidate for the job. I also went on to win an award in chemistry from CRC Press recognizing my academic achievements in the field of chemistry. After I received my associate degree, I went on to attend Montclair State University. There, I earned my bachelor's degree in biochemistry. With degrees in biochemistry and chemistry, I am capable of teaching science to students at varying age levels. I often teach college and high school students, and I particularly enjoy teaching chemistry and biology. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and strive to make it interesting for my students. It is rewarding for me to see them succeed and ensure they are learning the material. I do my best to explain complex information in a simple way. I also provide supplemental information and study materials so students have all the details they need to excel in the class. When I am not tutoring, I am learning more about biology and chemistry. I also enjoy tropical fish and learning about their environment.
